Compass Group has taken action to demonstrate they have effective measures in place to ensure the safety of customers and employees. The Group’s Finland restaurants and services have been verified against the DNV GL’s My Care™ Readiness Assessment, becoming one of the first operators in the industry to achieve this.
“My Care verification builds confidence in infection risk management and shows a strong commitment to and a will to improve processes and operating procedures related to the safety of both customers and the personnel,” says Curt Ruokolahti, Business Development Manager in DNV GL-Business Assurance, Finland.
The pandemic has meant drastic changes in Compass Group’s operating environment, requiring significant measures to prevent spreading of the virus. In Finland alone, Compass Group employs 4,300 food professionals and operates 550 restaurants.

Risk management has always been part of our ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental systems. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic posed entirely new challenges to our business, we decided to request for a third-party assessment of the quality of our efforts relating to the pandemic,” explains Jaana Korhola, Managing Director of Compass Group Finland.
